Alexey Gnedovsky, CEO of Veles Capital Investment Company became the winner of Spear’s Russia Wealth Management Awards 2016 in the category "Gentleman of PB&WM industry". This decision was made by the expert jury and the wealth management industry participants. The awarding ceremony took place at the stage of Mossovet State Academic Theatre.
Alexey Dolgykh (Julius Baer) and Dmitriy Breitenbecher (VTB Private Banking) were also among the contenders for the Gentleman of Wealth Management industry title.
SPEAR'S Russia Wealth Management Awards is hold annually to recognize the achievements of the representatives of the private banking and wealth management industry, as well as of those from the adjacent sectors. In 2016 the awards ceremony was held for the eighth time. The organizers of the event were SPEAR'S Russia magazine and web-portal PBWM.ru
Alexey Gnedovsky has been heading Veles Capital Investment Company since its foundation. He has more than 20 years’ experience on the financial markets and has been engaged in patronage and charity for many years as chairman of "DownsideUp" Charity Fund board of advisors, helping children with down syndrome, and as a member of the Lomonosov Moscow State University Economics Faculty board of trustees. He is also a recognized collector of edged weapons of Imperial Russia, a member of the International Council of Museums (the ICOM) and of the Friends Club of the Russian Ethnographic Museum (St. Petersburg), the State Historical Museum, the State Hermitage Museum, the State Museum-preserve Tsarskoye Selo and a member of the Russian Military-historical society board of trustees.
